Standards in Hilton definitely way...
Liked: location of hotel was great for our needs
Disliked: bathroom had a very bad smell in it and there wasn't enough towels. after ringing housekeeping for over 20 minutes without an answer, i went to reception to find staff. The curtains in the room were disgusting and had no inner voile therefore they couldn't be opened due to being on full view to everybody sat out in the beer garden. our curtains had to remain fully closed for the duration of our stay for privacy.Had to pay extra for parking.

AWFUL not Hilton standard and...
Liked: Very nice staff in the Wellness area, and bar man at night friendly.
Disliked: This is not the Hilton as we know it.Confusing calls with customer service regarding room size and availability, early check in aircondition etc. Which I ended up driving to hotel the evening before our check in date to clarify what rooms were available. Spend over 1 hour discussion with front desk who seemed to have problems with a number of guests and their bookings. Was shown a new refurbished room down stairs (178 &179) which we would be allocated at no extra costs. Called ahead on day of arrival to see if room would be ready and was told yes ready and available for early check in.On arrival I was told no that room was not ready after all and another room (277) would be. Also new refurbished.Once I arrived in the room which is the furthest away from reception on the hottest day of the week, stiffling hot, no complimentary water in the room, Idecided to call room service to order large bottle of water and a bucket with ice as the fridge was also very warm but no phone in the room to call reception, so I went all the way back to reception got told I would have to order at the coffee bar, waiting around for staff to come only to be told Hilton don't do large bottles of Water anymore. I ask to have this double checked please. After 10 min I got large bottle of water and a bucket of ice and I carried all back to the room again. The room for being a newly refurbed leave quite a few things which should be classed as basics such as more than 1 chair please, a phone, airconditioning, room still has paint on door handled and windows, and on a health and safety subject the bathroom floor tiles still have sharp pieces of the black tile spacers sticking out causing my partner to grace his toe and foot. The breakfast was not Hilton standard on Sat morning and we decided to leave after a coffee. At the end of all of this if you sell a room as newly refurbished please ensure that is fully refurbished and clean. Yes we were given complimentary free parking.
