Hilton Garden Inn Lincoln Downtown/Haymarket

We ordered a handicapped accessible room back in March. When we checked in the room had a bathtub (instead of a roll in shower) with no shower chair. We called the desk and they sent up a luggage rack to sit on in the shower - not acceptable! Next, they found an actual shower chair but when my wife looked at it, it had mold growing on the bottom! They came back and cleaned it. The room had very little sound-proofing - we constantly heard doors closing, footsteps in the hall and upstairs, and loud car stereos in the parking garage next door! I couldn't use the pool or hot tub in the morning because the handicapped lifts in the hot tub and pool did not work (no battery power). You'd think they would charge them overnight!

The rooms were very clean and well kept. All employees were helpful and kind. We didn't use the pool during our visit, but it also was well maintained, and it looked to be a fun place for kids.

Liked: Employees were very positive and helpful. With this being a first time visit to the hotel and arena, they took time to point out fun things and fun places to experience during the stay.
Disliked: None - our stay was great!

Disliked: We checked in later in the evening. The person at guest services didn't really seem to know what was going on. Was away from the desk frequently chatting with a friend on the porch side.

Liked: Excellent location. A lot of options for evening activities within easy walking distance. The staff at the desk were all very helpful.
Disliked: The room wasn't quite as well maintained as I would expect for the price. The carpet was worn and the bathroom needed some cosmetic repair.

Liked: Excellent hotel, modern, “where life is happening”; location surrounded by many fine restaurants, drinking establishments; friendly staff, clean and quiet stay; liquid hand soap (!), wide selection of some of the best restaurants; laundry room too.
Disliked: Self parking is sparse, but inexpensive 24 hour rates available (bring walking shoes).
