I would highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Chelsea. Friendly staff; nice location; room was clean, roomy and comfortable.

Liked: I’ve stayed here before and as a frequent nyc visitor I know I’ll stay here again. The staff went out of their way to leave me something special in my room since I noted that I was traveling for my birthday! Great location, clean, and pleasant!

A waste of time and...

Liked: Breakfast is a la carte, on the pricy side, though good.
Disliked: We left after one night since room just stank from cigarettes. the elevator also smelled just as if someone was smoking there. room was shaby and the the windows did not filter the outside noises.

Overall it was nice everything...

Liked: It’s was a nice hotel with friendly staff however the parking is a downfall we had to use paid parking as the hotel does not have parking of their own. Parking was $80 a night however with ticket stamp by hotel we paid $50 a night

Overpriced and mediocre at best

Liked: Way overpriced for the room size (tight) and overall condition (not good). Elevators were not reliable — one was out of service for most of the day making us wait or use the stairs (from the 12th floor). We had two rooms, including one with a 3-year old. The manager promised us a 25% discount on one room, which we have not received.

Stay here for the location;...

Liked: Location, location, location - close to everything we were doing in NYC - Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Chelsea Market, subway stops.
Disliked: The room was clean when we checked in and I did love being on a high floor. We stayed 3 days and I think that the room could have been vacuumed at least during that timeframe.
