Good on many levels

Liked: The Hillcrest is a smart well run Hotel with all the facilities that you would expect, all areas were smart and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food options included a bar and restaurant menu, all reasonably priced and very tasty.There is a very relaxed atmosphere around the venue and the grounds around the facility are well kept.Ample parking is available and the breakfast has a wide and plentiful choice of food.
Disliked: Not a huge issue but the barrier control to the venue can be confusing on first entry. Maybe signage or on-line details may help visitors.

Just what I look for...

Liked: Friendly staff Clean and nice and quiet
Disliked: Bit dated and have to sit at a table in the bar area would prefer some separate chairs or sofa

A very low budget hotel,...

Liked: Location and setting
Disliked: The interior of the main building was more like an office than a hotel. I originally thought that I had come to the wrong place. The room was poorly furnished and not of a high standard.

Liked: Clean facilities. Nothing exceptional but great hospitality.
Disliked: Not a lot provided- could have done with a mini fridge considering the heat. No ironing equipment. On one of the three day stay the bed wasn’t made up to expectation. One or two items not provided.

Very good

Liked: Parking was easy and safe. Checking in was efficient and friendly. Room was clean. Food was good value and tasty.Breakfast was ready on time (7.30) with friendly staff. Would definitely stay again
Disliked: Room and bathroom could do with a bit of work. Toilet seat and carpet in particular (55) but clean and comfy.

Liked: I’ve stayed here a few times now one night when I’ve been training at the nearby rugby club. It’s always been a great experience with the friendly staff, the fantastic breakfast and comfy rooms.
