Very quiet location

Liked: Fantastic location and great breakfast Stayed in the main house . Needs public areas including the bar look a bit tired Helpful and friendly bar / restaurant staff .
Disliked: Bedroom looked a bit tired but had a new big bathroom with odd location for the sink and mirror .

Great value for money in...

Liked: I really enjoyed staying here. Situated not far from the M5/M42 it's an ideal place when visiting Birmingham and the Midlands. Staff were friendly and the level of customer service I received was first class. Room was a good size for a single, had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Good view of the grounds and the various rabbits!. Buffett breakfast in the morning was superb, and was even given a pot of coffee rather than just a cup. Overall I would certainly stay here again as it provides excellent value for money.
Disliked: WiFi was a bit patchy in the hotel. Wasn't terrible but it kept disconnecting me, would normally rely on mobile data but with the hills nearby the signal wasn't the greatest. Tea/coffee in room could have been better, only had two sugars provided. Two minor points really, wouldn't stop me staying here again, overall excellent.

Liked: The location was picturesque and peaceful.The staff were very helpful, including moving a larger table into my room, for me to work at.
Disliked: The check out time of 10.00am was earlier than I would have preferred.

Cleanliness, comfort, all-day convenience and...

Liked: This is my second time staying here and we had a big family room, which was wonderful. Lots of space, comfortable bed and sofa, I like the motion sensor on the bathroom light, the fan was very effective when it got a bit warm, the towels are a good size to get round you (large), excellent breakfast, love the bar/bistro so you can have lunch and dinner there (which happened one day when I was working)... the hotel and staff are fantastic.
Disliked: I don't think these exist, but it's sometimes a strain on the old knees getting bags up and down the stairs, so if there were ground floor bedrooms that would be great. The pillows are a little squidgy for me, but my husband likes them. The bathroom mirror light was out of action, but no big deal. It might be useful to have a water cooler on the first floor bedroom level.
