Hidden Gem

Liked: The decor was absolutely fabulous, the staff were just lovely, the rooms had everything one would need. We just loved it here, would stay again if we can get rooms away from the noise.
Disliked: Noise from the club/dance partners honestly the only thing that let this place down, we absolutely loved everything else. Now it wasn’t loud enough to not be able to sleep btw, it was just loud enough to hear it and be in the room.

Absolute disgrace!

Liked: Didn’t have breakfast because we were unable to shower and wash our hair. Bought a sandwich to eat in the car on the way home.
Disliked: No hot water in the hotel at all ….not even tepid.We were told that the management would contact us and refund some of the exorbitant amount we were charged on check-in. Heard nothing, contacted them ..still nothing. Disgraceful!

For £165 for the night...

Liked: Nice decor, easy location… Breakfast was delish - Staff were pleasant too.
Disliked: I couldnt find the room initially and nobody told me where it was, room 207, was out the lift and then down a flight of stairs… It took me a few minutes to figure it out with bags in tow, walking up and down the 2nd floor landing, then having to leave them up the top of the stairs in case that wasn’t the place and then I obviously wouldn’t want to carry back up the flight of stairs… Quite annoying as reception could have easily just told me…The shower was terrible. It ran tepid and had no power under it and to top it off there was only one large towel between 2 of us. The room was chilly when we walked in… Had a Dyson heater in room which took a little while to take effect.

Liked: Nice room. Good breakfast. Great location.
Disliked: Incessant, thumping music from a nearby venue until 3am this morning. It took noisy revellers another hour to disperse. No hot water this morning. And the TV didn’t work.

Pleasurable stay.. great breakfast.

Liked: Quirky decor.
Disliked: No hand soap.

Liked: I have written a review on hotel website already. I was in room 206, avoid it as there is a generator outside the bedroom window. Generator on all the time! Room small, bed fine, television control not working properly, on and off has to be controlled by switching off plug on the wall! Good location for hotel and fine breakfast
