Too expensive for the quality...

Liked: The location of this hotel is really great. We did enjoy our stay overall, though it felt extremely overpriced considering the quality and dated appearance.
Disliked: The design felt quite old. Without the AC, the room was too hot for us, but when we turned it on, we ended up getting sick. The window system was strange, you couldn’t open them. The bed setup was also uncomfortable, with two sheets and a blanket in between instead of a regular hotel blanket. Too expensive for the quality offered, especially with no breakfast included.

Overall, it’s a decent place...

Liked: I stayed at Heritage Hotel New York City and found the location to be excellent — very walkable and convenient for exploring Manhattan.The building and furniture are clearly older, but this wasn’t a problem for us; in fact, it added a bit of classic character to the stay. More importantly, the room was clean, which we appreciated.
Disliked: The main downside was the poor soundproofing. Despite having a room facing the inner part of the building (overlooking a lightwell), we could still hear the city noise at all times — traffic, sirens, and general street buzz were clearly audible even during the night, which affected the quality of our rest.

Good location

Liked: The location was excellent. The beds were comfortable. I liked that we could leave our bags there before we checked in with no extra fee. The refrigerator in the room was very useful.
Disliked: I would have liked somewhere to get hot water to make tea. The machine in the gym and in the other room downstairs did not have hot water in them. The room was a little shabby.

Liked: Great location, nice front desk staff, comfortable quiet room with excellent bed. Very clean. Excellent value. This is a budget hotel, no frills but has everything needed for a pleasant brief stay.

I chose a budget hotel,...

Liked: Staff was very friendly and helpful - easy check-in and check out. Location was great.
Disliked: Room needs better lighting. Fluorescent light was not enjoyable.
