Very good

Liked: Simple and humble hotel, great to tour around the city without paying for unnecessary amenities. Good bed and spacious room. The electric closet is a nice addition after a long day.
Disliked: I got a very noisy room. Front desk offered to switch but needed to be room less for more of the day. The shower water pressure could have been stronger.

OK. Decent value but I've...

Liked: Bathroom was clean and functional. It was spacious enough for a NY hotel
Disliked: It felt like a prison cell. Small window with no view/light. And it's so minimalist it feels punitive.

Passable

Liked: Beds were ok. Location was great, round the corner from Time Square.
Disliked: They have Japanese restaurant on site but no bar and no breakfast availability. Rooms have kettles but they only give you 2 green tea bags (sometimes they even forget those), nothing else (also no coffee). Considering that even premier inn rooms have a few different tea and instant coffee selections, which would be the minimum I would expect. The rooms were clean enough but with some more shabby corners. Finally, the walls were very thin so we could hear the family with small kids next door arguing and keeping us up two nights in a row.In summary, considering they have no on site gym, no breakfast, no swimming pool, no bar and no proper lounge, I wonder how they are allowed to call themselves a 4 star hotel. If it were 3-star I would have rated it very good but as a 4 star is rather disappointing.

Lovely staying in NY!

Liked: The Henn Na Hotel was perfect for our first time in NY.Very central position and you can easily walk everywhere in central Manhattan. It’s well connected even if you want to take the subway from Penn Station to other places. Room and bathroom bigger than NY standard, bed was really comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back!
