Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Panama City Beach

Worst experience ever. DONT STAY

Liked: The location.
Disliked: Honestly, this was the worst hotel stay i have ever experienced in my life. When we checked in, the vibe was off, and the staff and environment were very unwelcoming. We got to our room, and as I started to unpack, I noticed there were no dressers. Nowhere to put clothes except a little hanging rack. Why are there no dressers at an EXTENDED STAY? I hung my dress for a wedding and the whole rack fell out of the wall?! I was so frustrated. I went to tell the front desk what had happened, and on my way out the door, I noticed the lock and door stopper was also hanging out of the door. Like someone had kicked it in at some point. She offered to have maintenance come fix those issues, but that didn't happen until I asked about it on our 3rd day (out of 7) there. I also had to ask when housekeeping would be making their way to our room. The maintenance man came while we were gone but left a big mess of drywall dust all over the floor and our things that were nearby. Housekeeping also came while we were gone, and I came back to my bathroom trash and ONE of the dirty towels laying in the hallway outside of our room. They didn't clean our room, replace towels, take trash, or do ANYTHING about the ENTIRE time we were there. I spoke to the front desk multiple times about the issues we encountered. Nothing was done, and none of them seemed to care. Oh, also, there were no kitchen utensils, dish soap, sponges or anything, and when I asked for forks/spoons (that were included) she said "don't you have some in your room?" I said,"No, there is literally nothing. That's why I came to ask about it.". Again, nothing was not. So I went and bought my own. The toilet seat was cracked and ended up breaking when my son sat on it. Mold in the bathroom around the tub, kitchen light was out. What an absolute mess of a place. I'm SO FRUSTRATED that I spent $1000.

Do not recommend this place...

Liked: Parking was free and easily accessible. The room was spacious. Shower water pressure was good.
Disliked: Staff not friendly or approachable. Breakfast was terrible!! The staff attendant did not do her job well. Food was not restocked, waffle maker not working but no signage posted, no coffee in the pot just hot water, the juice didn’t work properly, when it did, it dispensed warm juice, we had to ask for utensils to be get the water ever food was available. The whole hotel was filthy- floors had black streaks that was never cleaned during our 3 night stay, the trash cans were overfilled and not emptied out regularly, the elevator was slow, the pool area had no towels available, the gym had faulty equipments which is unsafe for all your guests, requested for more towels but none ever brought to us and staff were not friendly. They seem like they didn’t want to be there, they were not helpful or friendly - when asked for help they just say the manager is out and will return.

Disliked: Didnt get what we ask for with the baby an adjoining room we were lied to about a change next day. The floors were dirty.Staff was veryyyyy nonchalant. Its the bare minimum This my first and last time going to a Wyndham Property
