Great location and Character, food...
Liked: Location and character of the building and features excellent. All areas and room clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice to walk in and from the grounds.
Disliked: Food can be improved. Fish main was limp and needed better seasoning, there was not many al la carte dishes to prepare as most people were aiming for the Sunday carvery. The sea food cocktail starter was very bland and again lacked a sauce and seasoning. Breakfast eggs royal was okay but eggs overcooked and wife had the same dish, eggs were cooked well but arrived cold.

A place to get away...
Liked: We were a group of friends meeting up for a reunion. We had Sunday lunch in the Tythe barn and then all stayed overnight. Staff were friendly and very accommodating setting aside an area in the restaurant for us to spend the evening together. Our rooms were comfortable with everything that we required. The grounds are beautiful with lots of quirky features to explore and walks to enjoy. We will definitely return.

Great for a short stay.
Liked: Staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us, especially Ann who offered to give us a lifet to collect our broken down car! Food was excellent, though only one veggie option for dinner so I had to eat the same thing for 4 nights ( thankfully it was delicious). Everyone loves dogs which my dog was very happy about. Pub was closed when we were there which was a shame. It looks like the photo's.
Disliked: The room and ensuite was quite small, basic and dark and hadn't been updated for a while. The mill isn't easy walking distance from anywhere else to eat, drink or explore so options are limited to the site.

Great place to stay. Great...
Liked: Good choice of breakfast and excellent food.Dinner was very good. We had a lamb rump the first night which was so good we had it the second night too! Room was is the main building which was a magnificent building with great views over the adjacent fields. There is also an incredible, enormous tithe barn built out of the local yellow ham-stone which is used for functions.Extensive grounds and river.
Disliked: The approach is along a track with old classic cars and commercial and military vehicles awaiting restoration. These would be better stored under cover and out of sight as makes one think that one is in a scrap yard.

Overall excellent and get location,...
Liked: Excellent food in the restaurant, dinner and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning, along with the sunday papers to read! The restaurant/bar has a lovely cosy, light feel to it and we enjoyed a cuppa of tea in there when we first arrived. The staff were very friendly and were very accommodating when we asked to have an early supper as well as allowing us to check in early as the hotel was not busy this weekend.
Disliked: The bathroom in Pine View, it was an adapted room and it had a wet room and got very wet after a shower but I can imagine perfect for a person using a wheelchair etc
