Good stopover for us

Liked: The breakfast had a good choice, although the cooked breakfast could have been better
Disliked: Bacon crisper, mushrooms fried, they seemed to have been boiled. The poached egg was pre cooked

Generally pretty good, a couple...

Liked: The staff were very polite and welcoming from the first instance, and directed me twice towards the correct check in area. The room was clean and well presented throughout, and kept at a warm temperature. Restaurant area was well maintained and staffed, and food was of a good quality and atmosphere was family-friendly.
Disliked: There was a lengthy wait to be checked in despite arriving almost an hour after earliest check in and this had to be done at the end of the main pub bar. Ground floor room had the door lock at shoulder height and made the lock fiddly to close the door securely upon exiting, and would be inaccessible for a permanent wheelchair user. The room was quite compact and small, so not enough clearance between the desk and bed to use the desk chair, and the bed was very creaky. Conversations from other guests was easily heard through the thin walls/ceiling. Generally good quality, but mostly for a bed for the night rather than a place to rest between activities.
