This was very close to the venue. It was definitely worth driving the extra mile to have the cheaper place, but it is still so close to downtown. The only thing that I had an issue with ended up not being too big of a deal. We were staying with another couple and we got caught in traffic. They would not let me change the name on the reservation to the other couple so they could check-in without us, but it all worked out in the end. Also, the complimentary breakfast was awesome.

Liked: Good location for Garner-area activities. Nice staff. Hot water.
Disliked: No heater in shower, so that if you wanted to shut the door (for example, to keep out the night light), the bathroom and its floor became very cold during the night and were cold in the morning. No bath mats on the cold tile. And the movie options were terrible. No on-demand, no way to use my own streaming services, and even the shows offered, which, weirdly, 1980s-like, came on only at certain times, were often not available, but you weren't told that until you tried to watch one, which increased the already long search time. We gave up in the end, watched on the tiny screen of my computer.

If you want the Hampton...

Liked: I met so many staff, I loved them all. I love to eat breakfast was excellent and clean. Staff well maintained. Wish I was there more than one night. I felt a southern comfort.
Disliked: Nothing
