Hospitality at its WORST!!

Disliked: The guest services representative at the front desk was unwelcoming and rude. He refused to assist me with alternate solutions when my booking was incorrect due to a third party error. He was not accommodating at all to my situation. I was in town for my nephew’s wedding and was supposed to stay with the rest of my family at the same location. This employee’s lack of consideration was inexcusable and I was left to find an alternative solution for myself and two children at the last minute. Even though there were vacancies at this location, I refused to stay after being treated so horribly. Luckily, I was able to find another hotel that was close by in time to get ready for the event. My family that ended up staying there said I was lucky. They had filthy rooms and the plumbing was inoperable. My mother had to move rooms 3 times before finding one that was clean. I am very thankful I found another hotel. I will never make another reservation at a Hampton Inn again.

Poor

Disliked: It was way over priced considering the condition of the place. The shower had mold in the corners, the wall of the shower had been thrown up over the existing wall. We were given the very last room at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor which was noisy.

The room was clean however...

Liked: Breakfast and location was desent.
Disliked: It rained while were staying. All the doors on the back side of the hotel were leaking, towels were placed on the inside bottom of the doors. One of our guest tripped over the towel when entering the building and fell. No warning signs were present. The next morning as we were walking down the hall large pieces of plaster was falling from the ceiling due to large leaks. The dining area also had a leak on one side of the room. The floor was drench with water and furniture was soaking wet. The one elevator is very small and slow. Only two people can ride with the luggage cart. We booked for 4 guest, the restroom contained 2 towels and 2 wash clothes.

Disliked: The water pressure was very low and the hot water not that hot. The room could have stood some bath maintenance.

Great location for some nicer...

Liked: Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast. I just don't care for it and there aren't options for those who are on strict diet plans.
Disliked: Parking was limited or sketchy (a female traveling alone). overall it was an ok place.

Who let the Dawgs howl!

Liked: Great staff, accommodations nice. Easy access, walking or driving to dining, shopping, Fairgrounds.
Disliked: Next door neighbors had two dogs that kept fighting - woke us up 3 times during the night - and we were tired from days activities. Keep an empty room in between guest w dogs & guests without.
