Never stay here again.
Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: The staff was rude at check in. Forced to put deposit down after I already paid for my room ahead of time - was told this is for damages. Never ever had to do that at a Hampton Inn before. The bathroom was dirty and our room wasn’t even ready at promise time. Lady at check out was rude about getting my deposit back and said your bank will credit it. My bank processed the charge instead of this being a hold.

Perfect price for a quick...
Liked: Convenient location for volleyball tournament
Disliked: They overbooked the double queen rooms and asked every single person if they would be willing to switch to a king .. nobody really could due to the large group not willing to sleep in one king bed.. so until it came down to that last person checking in and they ran out of the double queen rooms they forced that last person to change to a king bed without offering two king rooms. I also wish there was a pool.

Loud and unfriendly
Liked: Location
Disliked: Construction on the floor above us was earsplitting all day long. Person at the front desk said “what do you expect, we are under construction. I have to deal with it, so do you”. Incredibly poor customer interaction.

Liked: Nice location for my needs.
Disliked: Odd elevator system requires a ley card to operate. Lobby was a few floors above the street. Some noise from the room above.

Liked: The location is always great. I travel to this area once a month to visit family. This location is great!
Disliked: Friday afternoon I noticed a drip above the toilet in the bathroom. I reported it to the front desk. We had to leave to meet our family. When we returned, we were able to move to another room. However, 20% off was not adequate. Coming back in the evening and moving all our belongings to another room deserved more than 20.This room did not have this drip in November. We stayed in the exact room in November. I wonder how many people reported this drip?

Exceptional
Liked: This is the fifth or sixth time we have stayed at the Hampton in Massillon over the last year. We have always entered through the main doors to the lobby. They have always worked. However, the doors did not open when we approached them around 1:00 p.m. It was a bit frustrating. Once we parked again, entered through another level and set of doors, Mary explained. She was very professional and accommodating. She checked on us after we had been there about 20 minutes. I asked for a walk-in shower and we had one. The stay was another good experience for us!
Disliked: Getting in the doors (or not getting in the main doors) was frustrating. We figured it out.
