Great place to stay. Nice rooms; friendly staff; good buffet with lots of choices. Very clean too!
Liked: Room was very nice. Laid out well and very comfy. The breakfast was good too. Lots to choose from.

Had a great time, went to see John Carpenter and hotel wasn't but 10 minutes away. Great location. Would love to come and do a vacation there.
Liked: Staff was so kind; plenty of options for dining within walking distance. The room was very nice.

Disliked: Initial room at check in- shower had pile of wet/dirty towels in it. Had to switch rooms because it couldn't be cleaned that night. -2nd room- shower could have been cleaner. Lost of yuck caked in the crevices, on the door track, and the grout area. -Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. -AC unit in room was very LOUD and never shut off. Constant rattling noise coming from it. -employee at check in was on a phone call the whole check in process. We weren't told check out times, breakfast hour and there wasn't anything in our room with this on it. Check out staff was busy and only asked if we needed a receipt. Never once asked how our stay was.

Other than the initial room’s...
Liked: I like the location, the staff is nice, and the rooms are clean
Disliked: The room I checked into (224) was very hot. The thermostat said it was 80 degrees. We notified the staff to see if the air conditioner was working properly and they changed the filter on it but the room just wasn’t cooling down so we had to change to room 213, that room was perfectly fine, 70 degrees and the air conditioner in that room was working properly.

Disappointing and below expectations
Liked: Beds were fairly comfortable.They provided tea and scones. The shower was hot and had good pressure. The price was fairly good compared to other Pittsburgh hotels. They had free parking. Thermostat for heat/cool in room was accurate.
Disliked: Another one of these stays at a hotel and be surprised with a children's birthday party. They were running and screaming in the hallways, filled up the pool and were unsupervised in the workout room. This is the second time this happened at a Hampton Inn. And the time before it was advertised as an "adult hotel". Hotel was overbooked and they upgraded to King. When I reminded them we booked for two queen beds, they changed our room. Why not tell us at check in instead of making us walk upstairs and then downstairs carrying all our luggage. Breakfast food was low quality and all the tables were dirty. Not a single decaffeinated tea offered.
