Inadequate preparation and communication

Liked: The property is conveniently located both to the quaint downtown area and to the airport. There was ample parking. The room was great, as usual.
Disliked: When I checked in the desk, clerk advised me that the elevator was out, but is she expected it to be repaired within a couple of hours. I lugged my luggage up to the third floor room, dropped it off, and proceeded back to my car to drive into town for dinner.When I returned, the elevator was still out. I made the trek back up the stairs to my third floor room. When I woke up the next morning, I got dressed and went out into the hall and saw a housekeeper. I asked if the elevator was operating yet. She replied no. I went down the stairs to the breakfast area. I opened up the container that said eggs – no eggs. I opened the container that said sausage gravy– no sausage gravy. I waved my hand in front of the waffle irons – cold. I encountered of an employee in the lobby area. Was there any hot items for breakfast, she said no.I would’ve thought that there would be some signs out or that I would’ve been notified when I checked in that there was going to be no hot breakfast. This is one of the reasons I have selected Hampton Inn as my regular lodging for business trips – good hot food. I can understand elevators being out as everything breaks down from time to time. It would’ve been nice if they could’ve gotten a little bit better estimation of when it would be fixed. However, I have no idea why there would be absolutely no hot breakfast items. Even if the kitchen was down to an electrical issue, it seems they would still be waffle batter available for hot waffles in the morning.For the first time in a very long time, I was fairly disappointed in the facilities and the staff.

Liked: I don't go eat breakfast because I am so disappointed. Just a coffe. A day When I check in they gave me a key I go to fund my room but whe i got there the key is not working, but thank God because I am feeling it and I heard it that the room is already occupied, I heard a voice from inside talking. So I came back to front desk to complain about that the key is not working no lights at all and I asked a question, I think that room is already occupied. Front desk said no it's not occupied. So I decided to give it a try again the key that the front desk gaves. Then he hault me up when I turn my back that I just takes like 8 steps away. He told me, I am just gonna gave you another room because the key not really working if theres no light showing up. So he gaves me another room. And when I entered the room is a mess! Chair is on the bed, tables are in the middle hall way when you entered the room. Rugged in the bathroom and bucket for painting left in the shower room. So I call front desk using the room telephone that these room is dirty and a messed these is not clean, then he said I am sure the room is already clean like the way he talked I am lying. Go back down stairs again. Issue me key and room. Keys is just to mae it work its just takes a work to get it a timing of it to gave a green light but i get it working, these time finally i entered and I can relax and get my clothes ready.NOTICE THESE! A NIGHT AROUND 1230AM SOMEone CKING IN MY DOOR A LOUD KNOCK AND YELLED . IS SOME ONE INSIDE. ITS OH MY GOD MOMENT THAT I BARELY FALLING INTO SLEEPS. SO I CHECK OPEN SLIGHTLY MY DOOR AND SAID YES! AND THE LADY SAY SORRY AND SAID WERE JUST CHECKING WHO CHECKS IN THE ROOM? REALLY??? THEY DONT KNOW CHECKS IN THAT ROOM. AND THE GUY WITH HERE NEVER APOLOGIZES AND ITS JUST SO WEIRD HE JUST SO REALX KNOCKING OF SOME ONE DOOR?NEVER GOING TO CHECK HERE AGAIN. WEIRD PEOPLE AND YOU COULD NOT RELAX. By the way the TV IS only one channel? Dead serious bro!!!
