Pleasant
Liked: Clean, modern, rooms. Easy check in. Good value.
Disliked: Horrible pillows, mattress not very comfortable. Qr code in front of TV does not match the channels. Very confusing and not a good TV viewing set up or options. Breakfast in the morning was just easy too crowded and chaotic. Eggs were not good.

I will never stayed at...
Liked: The front desk was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The breakfast scene was horrid. The space was too small for people to move around and get their choices. The eggs were runny and cold. The coffee was brutal. The room was too tiny. Again we felt claustrophobic. The garbage can had a divider. There wasn’t enough room to place the garbage. There wasn’t an ice machine in our floor. The soda in the vending machine was expired. There were spiders in our room.

Superb
Liked: Great location, just 1 minute walking from subway station with many lines.Free coffee/tea all day long, reasonal breakfast (relatively to American one - don't expect any vegetables). The staff was kind and helpful. Baggage reservation until we got the room.
Disliked: Only 2 elevators to serve 20 floors, sometimes you wait too much. The a/c in the room was a bit noisy but nothing too significant

Price/quality/location ratio is quite reasonable....
Liked: Location is GREAT! Subway is close - you can get anywhere you need quickly. Most sightseeings are close (walk-away distance), lots of places to shop to eat, to hang around - perfect for tourists, its Manhattan!! Rooms are tiny (which is again normal for Manhattan) - ok for 2 people but stuffy for 3 or more, but rooms are clean (however furniture looks very tired). Despite there are only 2 lifts - they are quick, so no delays. Surprisingly good coffee for breakfast and nice mix for waffles. Lots of clean and fluffy towels were provided. Bedding and sheets were also sparkling clean and new.
Disliked: Hotel withhold the deposit of $200 and its not mentioned anywhere while you're making booking. It takes a while to return this amount back to your card, especially if its not American card. And not the fact that its actually there, but because they’ve never mentioned it beforehand, and guest finds out that “this is hotel policy” only upon arrival when there is no chance to leave the place. Turns out the property is listed on booking.com, but magically “forgot” to mention some policies and conditions? And when you’re denying this payment, they say they don’t care where you booked and what was mentioned or not! In that case, I think it would be fair if Booking.com, as an aggregator, removed such hotels from the search results, at least for a while. A low flow of guests would teach such hotels to be more polite to guests and to honor their reservation terms.Others - it's rather not dislikes - but something I'd suggest to keep in mind while booking this type of properties, it is all over Manhattan: rooms are small, bathrooms even smaller, no privacy (if noisy neighbors - you're doomed), corridors are so narrow, no one around to help you with luggage (but everyone expecting for a tip), small place for breakfast (maybe for 20% of all guests) - this things hotel cant change but guests should be aware about.
