Liked: Excellent hotel, clean and nice breakfast. Walking distance from the centre of Edinburgh and most areas.

Liked: We were extremely pleased with the accommodation. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location is very convenient, close to the center, and if you enjoy walking, you won’t need public transport at all

Disliked: but the additional bed for my child was squeaky and very uncomfortable, she woke up with a bad back

Liked: The room was a good size.
Disliked: We had been having a wonderful trip. One evening we decided we would just grab a sandwich and a drink at the hotel. My body was tired of walking and my spouse is diabetic. When it was time for us to eat, the hotel's computers crashed. They told us to wait a while and they would be back up. 45 minutes later the computers were down. For some reason they couldn't make us a sandwich without a computer. We were willing to sign a promise to pay or whatever it would take. We wanted a simple sandwich. They refused, even though we had 2 more nights at the hotel. We ended up walking quite a long way to eat because many place were closed because it was Easter Monday. We paid 4 times as much for a sandwich as what the hotel charges. And our meal was not good. The refusal to make a sandwich because the computers were down is something I simply cannot comprehend. We booked our remaining vacation stays at Holiday Inns. Hampton Inns and Hilton will no longer be a choice for hotel services for us. Management needs to train their staff on how to function without computers.

Liked: The waffle maker was class, the shower was fab. Staff were so lovely, 10/10 would stay again
Disliked: The headboards were a bit scraggly, the sheets had some stains
