Good choice for a stay...

Liked: Great location, comfortable and friendly staff. Informal and very quiet at the rear of the building. Room serviced every day.Obviously very popular with the locals for food and drink. I stayed for 7 nights.
Disliked: Nothing. It is exactly as advertised, so not 5 star luxury, but a convenient and pleasant place to stay in Sherborne.

Disliked: Monday morning is delivery morning so take advantage of the earplugs they offer if you want a lie in

Disliked: The rooms are very outdated and need some TLC. Also, would expect breakfast to be included in the price, especially as the rooms are very small and basic.

Liked: It's a very centrally located hotel, part of a pub chain with bar food. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful and welcoming. Plenty of parking at the rear.
Disliked: It's a little shabby, though the rooms themselves seem to have been recently renovated and are OK. The shower is over the bath (but works fine). If you have a room at the front of the building you will get noise from the street and the drinkers below - though that's quiet by about 11.30pm. However, the abbey bells peal the time all night - very quaint, but means the windows have to be closed unless you are a very deep sleeper!

Liked: The location was lovely so near to the abbey with it beautifully lit up at night. Also some lovely cafes and bakery’s right near and just a 7 minute walk to a supermarket.
Disliked: Location. Friendly staff. Cheap.
