With easy access to the Tube and top nightlife spots, it’s an ideal base for concert-goers wanting to stay close to the action without sacrificing comfort.

Why Concert-goers love it

Guests love the late 12:00 checkout — perfect for sleeping in after a late-night gig. With 24-hour front desk service and central Tube access, getting back after a show is both safe and simple. Food and Drink Options

Gunmakers features an on-site restaurant serving classic British cuisine with options for vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free diets. While it doesn’t offer 24/7 dining or room service, the downstairs pub stays open late, and you’re surrounded by walkable eateries and late-night bites along Oxford Street. Breakfast is available — ideal after a night out.

Nightlife Options

The on-site pub is a true highlight, offering local brews and a welcoming atmosphere. For more action, you’re within walking or a quick Tube ride of Soho’s buzzing bars, jazz lounges, and late-night clubs. Whether you want to keep the night going or enjoy a quiet nightcap, it’s all within reach.

What People Say

Guests rave about the friendly staff, unique pub atmosphere, and central location. Many mention how easily they could get to shows and then unwind in the peaceful surroundings. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed, and the vibe is authentic London charm.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side, especially if you’re traveling with lots of gear. Some guests noted that the vintage building means a few creaky floors or narrow stairs — but that’s all part of the charm for most.

The Bottom Line

Gunmakers is a welcoming, character-packed stay for music fans who want to be close to the action but value a good night’s sleep and a pint after the show.

Short break in Marylebone

Liked: Great location, clean, modern. Parking just opposite
Disliked: Aircon not working, fridge not working, hot in room, couldn't open window, shower not draining. A lot of stairs so not suitable for heavy luggage.

Superb

Liked: Very clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, extremely quiet even though the room was located only 2 floors above the busy bar and the noisy patrons enjoying themselves on the street below. Very nicely appointed room, including the bathroom except I could not get a signal on the TV during the 3 night stay.
Disliked: The room was serviced after the first night but not after the second night. This would have been nice as there were used teacups, and it would have been good to have had the teas etc replenished. Not a biggie

Pleasant and staff were nice,...

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. No noise from the pub downstairs.
Disliked: There was renovation work going on but they did warn us about this a week or so before. They said there would be noise between 8am and 5pm, drilling etc. we were ok with this as we were out all day.

Exceptional

Liked: Much bigger room than expected, lovely big comfy, firm bed. Amazing water pressure so the shower was amazing. Soooooo quiet!! I stayed in the Turin room, top floor at the back of the property so didn't hear a single bit of street noise.
Disliked: Ok so before the following...these will not stop me from visiting again...they're just some tweaks that the hotel needs to fix.The air con didn't work which wouldn't be an issue normally but it was a warm one when I stayed. I would have opened a window for some fresh air but that was stuck shut so no air con of fresh air! The TV didn't work either. The lady who showed me mentioned about someone fitting an aerial but didn't see the point as I only really chuck the TV on in the morning with a cuppa!Temperature tap was stuck, took some slight man handling to get it to move as initially all I could was scolding hot water!So...tweaks/updates needed, nothing major!

Disappointing

Liked: location was great
Disliked: We were told there was work going on and to expect some noise from 8-5, however we were woken up at 6.30 and 7.30 by workers going into the room next door and talking loudly. The shower was set to hot with no cold water, the basin tap dripped all night and the TV said signal was too weak to watch any channels.
