What a pub stay for...

Liked: This stay was amazing. The hotel/pub is lovely, working well with modern facilities in the very old building. The staff were super attentive and helpful. The food I could write a whole page on, it was amazing. The prices are brilliant and the portions are huge. The locals in the pub were friendly and not resentful of visitors at all.
Disliked: Lack of parking on site. The carpark is cheap so not the end of the world at only £2 for three hours, or £7 for a whole day.

Lovely historical hotel and pub.

Liked: Lovely room. Clean. Helpful friendly staff. Good bar also. Lovely building with many original features. Wonderful breakfast too.
Disliked: Limited parking. We parked okay but got there early.

Liked: the bedroom suite was lovely, and clean.
Disliked: When arriving at 8.45am in the restaurant area for the 9am breakfast, the managers was only just opening the curtains, and nothing was laid out ready, he kept dashing about, saying he would be with us shortly. We had to decide the previous night what we wanted to have fro breakfast, and all we wished for was a continental style, nothing cooked, only toast. although there were a few other people/& family at the staying at the hotel, he was very disorganised...!! we eventually helped ourselves to cereal, fruit juice, and a cup of tea, which the water came from his 'special' water/coffee/tea machine, which obviously, had not been flushed through/cleaned, and the tea came out with coffee froth on top,by the time we were leaving after waiting awhile, he came and said our toast was nearly ready....!!!!! Not an experience we are prepare to try again.

Liked: Very well maintained even with the history of this place. The hotel staff was very friendly and event helped me carry my stuff to 2nd floor.
Disliked: Just in my room the shower head was not switching and manger said will get this fixed
