was gross
Liked: the room was quiet
Disliked: this is actually a review of Grange Clareton. the Blooms is closed and they shifted us here. with no discount, either though on Booking.com its a less expensive hotel. the furniture was shoddy, the bathroom tiles were stained. the continental breakfast (cereal) is £19.00. it is in a great location though not at all worth the expense.

We were moved to this...

Disappointing
Liked: The location
Disliked: We were messaged a few days before arrival that due to staff shortage we were moved to the hotel next door. Actually it was just to check in, we were in the original hotel to sleep.Room a bit dingy and dated. Breakfast that was included was just continental, not a lot of choice and cramped restaurant if you can call it that. Not enough tables. Overall quite disappointing

This was the worst hotel...
Liked: Absolutely nothing, this hotel was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in ANY city. A complete disgrace that was so far from their website it should be illegal. I am actively telling people to avoid this entire chain!
Disliked: The hotel was super hot and smelled like mold in the corridors. The room itself was tiny with very little in the way of furnishings as well as being like a sauna when we arrived, presumably the hotels attempt to dry out the damp stains on the ceiling. The bed was a rock. An actual rock. The floor was more comfortable. The bathroom was disgusting with green gunk covering the plug holes in both the bath and sink. There was only very low lighting giving the room a gloomy air, the TV couldn't be seen from the bed and there was no thermostat or heating control.
