Liked: Cooked breakfast was made to order & was excellent. The continental choice was more than enough.Our dinner in the restaurant was exceptional, the quality of food superb.Staff were pleasant & polite.
Disliked: Would have preferred if there was some type of blind on window. Once we opened the curtains, we didn't have much privacy as our room had a path going past our window.

Liked: All food was excellent. Views outstanding. Excellent golf course. Staff could not be more helpful. Well situated with good travel links by train to Glasgow and West coast.
Disliked: There were a lot of stairs to get to the restaurant. Whilst I considered it a workout, anyone with any bad legs/knees would be in trouble as the restaurant/bar is in the top level. Also, it would be helpful if there was a shuttle service from the hotel to the station as the station is considerable further than indicated on all maps. Ok going as it is all downhill. The local taxi service was very good with a fare of £8 each way into the village which is fine when there is a group of you.

Liked: My wife and I stayed for just the one night on a room only basis. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and our albeit limited contact with the staff would suggest that the professionalism and very personable nature of the staff would be a very positive element of any stay.
Disliked: We tend not to have big breakfasts but as I am a diabetic, bacon and eggs is preferable to the continental option which is carbohydrate high. However, at just shy of £20 the hot breakfast would not represent good value for money. Would it be possible to have a simple hot breakfast but at a more reasonable price?

Liked: Room was beautiful and staff extra helpful Breakfast was perfect and all staff went above and beyond
Disliked: Disappointed leisure facilities were out of commission but couldn’t be helped will hopefully return once refurbishment is complete
