Fun old building. Very clean....

Liked: Our room was lovely. Bathroom was huge and clean. There was some street noise until about midnight (but this was in the Gas Lamp area and it was Spring break). The front desk and transportation staff were wonderful.
Disliked: The street noise.

Disappointing

Liked: Perfect location for the convention center.
Disliked: Very very noisy. This is like sleeping directtly on the street. Not possible to open the windows.

Great hotel but don't stay...

Liked: Rooms were spacious, beds were comfortable, staff were friendly and despite the noise at night it was a great location.
Disliked: Loud music late into the night until at least 2 am. Cars with noisy mufflers racing up and down the street and lots of partying. If this is not your scene, don't stay here. Staff did their best to accommodate us and we were very grateful to Cecelia for moving us on a busy Easter weekend.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and...

Liked: Great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable about the city with useful tips - e.g. using the Trolley Bus system. Location excellent for nearby facilities and entertainment - but not too noisy. Rooms and beds very comfortable. Hidden gem of the rooftop area which is lightly used.
Disliked: Shame there isn't breakfast but I was pointed to a location only a couple of minutes away which served an excellent and good value 'walk-in' breakfast.
