Good

Liked: The location was excellent
Disliked: The standard room was unacceptable. Could not look out the window because it was frosted. (For a reason I am sure). This room can only accommodate one person not two.

Amazing stay!! Highly recommend!

Liked: Great hotel in the midst of the Gaslamp District. Super central to everything downtown and all of San Diego (Ubers are literally less than $10 throughout the city). I was so happy to have been upgraded to a suite - I was in the Byron Suite on the 7th floor. Lovely room, great and spacious, clean and had everything I need. Nothing but great praise for this property and staff. The building is historic and brings you back in time to an old era - such a cool vibe!!
Disliked: Kept on waiting for the "gotcha", for the price and location was so good and this was the cheapest hotel in Gaslamp District, but it never came. The continental breakfast was bare bones but no complaints since the views from the rooftop was an added bonus. It could be quite loud during Friday and Saturday night stays since you are surrounded by bars, but coming from New York, I was actually used to it, but would like to advise those that weren't. Something about downtown San Diego... It is not unsafe but downtown San Diego typically have a lot of homelessness. They are not shy, and will ask for money, etc., But are generally harmless. I was a female travelling solo but never felt unsafe. I liked everything about this hotel, so these points were more of an FYI - NOT a deal breaker.

Good

Liked: The hotel is nice. Staff is friendly. Room is what is should be.
Disliked: breakfast is basic. the rooftop terras has a nice view, however is adjacent to very big and noisy (I'm guessing) airconditioning devices. so sitting on the rooftop terras is actually not really pleasant.
