Ok but room was not...
Liked: Did not eat breakfast at the hotel; restaurant was too expensive
Disliked: Noisy!! We were in a room by the exit and there was no carpet on the floor and so we heard all the clicks of suitcases being dragged on the floor in and out of the hotel all night as well as cleaning crew! Requested a quiet room and did not get it!!

Liked: The front desk clerk was friendly but unable to make accommodations for us unless we were willing to pay twice for our room.
Disliked: We got to pay for the stay but didn’t get to actually stay because the hotel had no record of our booking.com reservation. I called booking.com. The rep was able to see our confirmed reservation and called the hotel but the hotel still had no record of our reservation. This was all after several weather delays with our flight so it was already 2a.m. Even tho we had already paid for the room on booking.com we were told we would have to make a new reservation on site and pay the hotel directly. Booking.com said they would cancel our reservation and the refund would be applied in 5-7 business days. The hotel said they could not honor the booking.com price. Their base rate was $20 more than the booking.com price. Not feeling confident about the refund from booking.com we ended up sleeping in our car because we did not feel like we could pay twice for one hotel room. I then got an email stating that our refund would be processed minus hotel fees based on hotel policies. Upon reading further it appears as if we won’t get a refund because it was a nonrefundable reservation. So … I guess I’ll know in a week or so whether or not we really do get refunded for the hotel reservation since it was cancelled by them due to their system communication error. The booking went through on booking.com but not through to the hotel. We had a confirmation number with a PIN number, I showed them the booking.com app that showed our reservation. I also showed proof in my online bank account that the charge had been made. However, this was not good enough to prove we had a reservation. This is a very frustrating situation. Booking reservations through a third party site is no longer something I am going to want to do as this is the 2nd snaffoo I have had with the booking.com app.
