Liked: The only good thing about the property was location.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the room was dirty and the white sheets were not white. I booked a family unit which has an extra bedroom. There was no sitting area so if you wanted to sit down, it had to be on the bed so it would’ve been better if there was a little table with a couple of chairs had problems with the hot water. Some of us had a cold shower and some of us hot. The bathroom window was painted shut, and the air conditioner didn’t work. The second bedroom also had ants on the bed. One of our friends came from out of town, and I asked the manager if we could have an extra parking pass. He said no that there was a property that our friend can park at about five minutes away. If you’re paying $180 a night you would think that you could park there. It was actually almost a blessing because the parking lot is on a wonky hill. What made me mad was that people who pay to stay there can park, but the owner let people park on the property for $25 who were not staying at the hotel. I watched at least two cars almost hit my car with the owner directing the person how to park. I did take pictures of my car in case I came out and it had been hit for insurance purposes. The last time I went to Santa Cruz I stayed at the which was very nice and the only reason I booked at this hotel was because it was $700 less. Had I known I would’ve paid the extra $700 for the three nights that I stayed, the beds were very hard and uncomfortable so anyone with the bad back like myself it would not be good. Even after leaving yesterday my back is still hurting. The owner was very nice when we got there and I really didn’t want to write a bad review but I do want others to know what they’re getting themselves into if they book this hotel.
