Convenient for theatreland/Covent Garden with enough eating places in the vicinity to make up for no food facilities in the hotel.
Liked: Good sized room (number 42) with adequate coffee and tea supplies; large bathroom was bright and airy.

Convenient location and nice staff
Liked: Convenient location. The front desk is open 24 hours a day which was convenient. They allow you to leave your key at the front while you're out and about, which was nice to not carry it around. The staff was friendly. They gave us bottled water for free each night.
Disliked: Overall it seems that the hotel needs an update. There aren't many facilities that are included, the room was very basic with nothing extra included. The interior on the photos of booking.com look really nice and bright, but in actuality the property is a bit run down. I was expecting it to be a bit more fancy for the cost and photos.

Liked: Fantastic location and very comfortable room, friendly personnel ready to assist and facilitate stay.
Disliked: The Fielding does not serve breakfast. While this is not a major problem given the abundance of very nice options in the area, it would be nice to have the possibility to have breakfast at the hotel.

Disliked: Tiny room

Liked: Location. The room looked out over Drury Lane gardens and was very quiet.
Disliked: I don't know how visitors to London tolerate such tiny hotel rooms (which are the norm) at such prices. Some attempt had been made to find cupboard space for clothes etc., but it was a bit awkward and finish was poor. The bathroom was reasonably well fitted, but tiny. Windows are single-glazed. These days, a couple of USB sockets are high on the list of priorities. This hotel has no restaurant and not even a lobby space of any kind in which to sit or greet visitors or whatever. I had a room on the 3rd floor. Only narrow stairs were available. At the time of my visit, the entire front facade was scaffolded. I had some difficulty to find the place late at night because all signs were obscured. There was no work going on over my weekend stay, but I would have thought twice about booking if I had known the situation beforehand.
