Great staff, location and breakfast...

Liked: Everything!!! The staff were really great, all of them. Great location, close to the train stations is a plus!!! Breakfast saved our mornings.

Perfect location, disappointing comfort

Liked: - Perfect location, close to subway, trains, Time Square- Friendly and helpful staff
Disliked: - No view, window facing a close and high wall, little day light- Room was next to a very noisy elevator that run all night long- One of three elevators didn't work, long waiting times- Breakfast room overcrowed, some guests took their plates and drinks out to the lobby- Room service only every second day

Comfortable room, great location, poor...

Liked: This hotel is really well located and perfectly decent in terms of comfort and room facilities. The bed was pretty good, the bathroom was well sized and shower had good pressure.The gym facilities are pretty good with a range of cardio and resistance machines and some free weights and other equipment.
Disliked: The breakfast comes with the room, but it’s pretty bad, unfortunately. There just seemed to be a lack of pride in the food put out. The cooked breakfast meats were pretty greasy and there were no vegetable accompaniments like tomatoes, mushrooms etc… The oatmeal (porridge) was sad, lumpy, unseasoned and watery. The only decent food we found were the bagels and that’s pretty much all we ate after the first morning. If a nice breakfast is important to you, this may not be your place. Unfortunately we didn’t have much of a view from our room - we were only on the 4th floor and overlooked a courtyard filled with air conditioning vents. At check in, we were told that we might be able to get a room higher up in the hotel the following day - however, we would have needed to re-pack, vacate the room, put all our luggage in storage then wait until the new room was ready. On balance, the view wasn’t that important to us, so we chose not to. I guess it was nice of them to offer to upgrade us. Just bear in mind that you may not get put in a room with the view you’re expecting. Aside from the room, we found the hotel facilities to be a bit lacking. The rooftop bar was closed when we were there (April) and the downstairs bar was too loud to have a conversation. It was also pretty empty when I was there so had a bit of a weird vibe. Also $11 for a bottle of Modelo!! You are allowed to take drinks to the quieter and more comfortable lobby however.

Perfect central location hotel

Liked: Very central. Right next to Penn train station & Madison Square Garden. Clean and friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Place to avoid

Liked: We didn’t like the property at all , from the arrival to the minute we left , very disappointed
Disliked: The list is big ! Very noisy lift so no sleep ! Bathroom run down , terrible breakfast! No coffee no orange juice , you have to ask and feel terrible to ask !!! 1 lift in 3 working ! Everyone was so annoyed , we got lock out of our room for two hours before a guy arrive to open the door lock and change batteries , really we are very simple people and don’t ask for much ! But our New York visit was shadow by it

Good location but not deserving...

Liked: Location was very central and very close to Penn station (subway and domestic trains) Breakfast is included in the price
Disliked: The hotel is not really a 4 stars:- if you don’t pay for the city view, you are put in a room with a courtyard view in the middle of 35 floors buildings- breakfast included is very basic, definitely not a 4 star quality- cleaning hasn’t been done everyday- room decoration is pretty old fashioned, especially the bathrooms.
