Fairfield Inn by Marriott East Rutherford Meadowlands

My stay at the hotel was great. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The only part I did not like was when I went to my vehicle the next morning to notice it was broken into and they took over $100 worth of stuff, including my money. The hotel should have better security or have a surveillance camera in the parking lot. I would not stay at this hotel again because of the break in, not the hotel itself.

We stayed in a room that was supposed to be $139.99 - we were charged $179.00. I have stayed in $65.00 a night hotels that were better.

Liked: None.
Disliked: Low ceiling; no hair dryer. Dirty; sheets on bed were not pressed.

The whole place was very nice. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay there again.

Liked: This Hotel is so close to New York and American Dream Mall. We took the bus right in front of the hotel to the Port Authority and could easily get to New York. Housekeeping was also great.
Disliked: There seem to be no A/C in the hallways and inside the elevators. Both were very hot. The worst thing was the wifi it was spotty at best. I was told that nobody else had a problem with it. But that was untrue. It was a constant issue.

Liked: Great location, comfortable beds and very clean sheets and towels. The hotel was a little outdated and had some staining etc on the carpets. This is to be expected in an older hotel. Other than needing some updates it was a very comfortable stay.
Disliked: Needs some updates.
