Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything, and EZ 8 hits the mark. You’re a short ride from downtown’s biggest music venues and just 10 minutes from San Diego International Airport — perfect for out-of-town music lovers. Late-night rideshare access is simple from this central spot, and the area stays relatively quiet at night, helping you sleep off the setlist. Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, your room comes with a fridge for late-night snacks and drinks. You’re within walking distance of Old Town San Diego, where you’ll find everything from taco joints to pubs — many open late. Nightlife Options

EZ 8 Motel Old Town is just a quick Uber or trolley ride to the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego’s nightlife hub. Whether you’re into rooftop lounges, dive bars, or live DJ sets, you’ll find it there. Prefer to keep it low-key? Old Town has cozy bars serving up local craft brews and margaritas.

What People Say

Guests rave about the motel’s location and affordability. Many liked the easy access to public transportation, the friendly front desk staff, and the value for money. The pool and hot tub are popular touches after a long day — or night.

Areas for Improvement

M, Orange County, visiting Pechanga Arena San Diego

Disliked: Front desk attendants were un-informed about all aspects of their own hotel and rude on top of it. They did not want to help any of their guests whatsoever and called me by the wrong name for the entire stay even after correcting them.

Noise, Odors, and Extra Fees...

Liked: My experience at this hotel was disappointing. To be honest, there was nothing I particularly liked during my stay.
Disliked: The location is quite inconvenient, as it's far from most points of interest. It's also surrounded by highways, which creates constant noise, and a train passes by frequently, making it hard to get any rest.Another downside is the internet policy – you have to pay separately for each device, which I found unreasonable. The facilities are poorly maintained, and there's a strange, unpleasant smell throughout the property.Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and won’t be staying here again on future visits to San Diego.
