Place needs a major overhaul.

Liked: Location and staff.
Disliked: Smelly and unclean. HVAC Filters dirty. Paint in the tubs coming off. Furniture old and damaged.

Liked: The gentleman who checked us in that night was very kind and helpful. I forget his name but I think it began with a 'J'. He was great. The rooms were indeed clean and the shower was great. AC worked great, kept us cool. Fridge and microwave were great and just what we needed.
Disliked: The hotel itself is in disrepair. There was a hole in the ceiling in the lobby. One of the elevators did not work. The neighborhood it's in is NOT good and we did not feel safe - there was a whole incident with a fugitive hiding out on the first floor during our stay and police and swat were called and my parents, who can't walk well, had to evacuate. No money refunded for this. No breakfast was served at all. They shouldn't even advertise it. No kitchen supplies in rooms, cabinets were cracked and wood was chipped. Bottom of tub and sink in bathroom were peeling. Beds were hard as a rock. Hallways smelled really bad but thankfully the room itself didn't smell. Didn't see any bugs, thank god. Asked for 2 rooms close together, got one on the 1st floor, one on the 3rd, both of which were down a super long hallway. Not convenient for my parents, who both have issues with walking. Also, they charge a $100 deposit to your card. We had to pay for each room separately and then the deposit separate. It's convenient if you need to use multiple cards to pay but I didn't like the surprise $100 hold on my debit card. Nowhere on here did it list that. Just... don't stay here. The staff was great and helpful but the owners of this hotel really need to get it fixed. It's falling apart. And like I said, the neighborhood this hotel is in is bad. We felt very unsafe there. Pay a little more and stay someplace safe.
