Disappointing

Not impressed.

Liked: The bed was comfy. The room was a good size. Plenty of free parking. Some of the staff were very pleasant.
Disliked: Revolting smell on the floor we were on (2nd floor). The property says the rooms have fully equipped kitchens, the reality is you have to request coffee maker, cutlery, crockery, pans, spatula, colander etc and hair dryer from reception - and that is not a straightforward process! Rooms are only cleaned if you are staying for more than 8 nights, before then you have to pay. Some of the staff were simply unpleasant and or not very capable. Bathroom very tired.

Liked: The location of the hotel was great.
Disliked: It took several minutes before anyone came to the front desk to check us in. In addition, some appliances barely worked. the hotel was loud and had a faint odor.

Liked: low price. free breakfast.
Disliked: Lock to room didn't work. Then there was the hoodlum hanging around the lobby entrance yelling at me across the parking lot for a "light!" Really!? I would hardly expect a third world experience in Columbia MD.
