Liked: Spacious and clean rooms, relaxing environment, courteous staff...what else would you want! The location is perfect for accessing the convention center (7 min walk) and have access to all nearby restaurants. I really enjoyed it!

Liked: Just the decor in the Lobby. I did like how spacious the room was. Bathroom especially.
Disliked: The facility's carpets were dirty and had a horrible smell. We arrived late in the night/morning which I called to inform the front desk. After arriving the keys didn't work so we had to make multiple trips back and forth to the front desk. It was difficult contacting the front office and the front office had a hard time contacting the security guard. We were told he had to unlock the door. After such a long ride we were exhausted and just wanted to get in our room.

Thank you Embassy Suites-Louisville Downtown...
Liked: The breakfast was excellent! Made to order omelettes, and all you can eat breakfast buffet, with fruit, pancakes, grits and oatmeal, smothered and covered hash browns or breakfast potatoes, and sausage and bacon! What's not to love they had something for everyone. Soda, Coffee, OJ, Apple Juice, Cranberry Juice, Milk! Having a hearty breakfast, save me money on lunch and dinner. Especially with the Complimentary Manager's Reception each night, Just an amazingly great time! The Location was Premier! 4th Street Live was super entertaining and felt like Bourbon St in New Orleans. The mall was only a short distance away and the event at the KFC YUM Center was literally 5 mins away. I was able to get a cheap Uber! Friendly Staff, Great Location, CVS Pharmacy in the lower level as well as a wonderful Seafood Restaurant! We went on Saturday to the restaurant, and wanted to go back again on Sunday, but they weren't open on Sundays. Nonetheless.... It was one of the best traveling experiences! Kudos to the staff, the Food & Beverage Mgr. Josephine Skiles was phenomenal , I watched her work right along her staff for breakfast and the reception time, securing that all guest were well taken care of. It was not doubt who was in charge and that her staff ran like a well oiled machine. As busy as it was, I really expected something not to go well, or someone not to be pleasant, but that did not happened at the Embassy Suites Louisville Downtown. I literally booked 3 different hotels, previous to travel, Embassy Louisville East, Hilton Garden Inn, and Embassy Louisville Downtown.... each hotel had it's perks, but I am glad we choose the Downtown location, it checked off every box for me, and my spouse and parents. Thank you.
Disliked: Not sure if they were really dislikes.... But, I had a couple of special request made during booking and neither were honored as they said they would. My parents and my spouse and I's rooms were on different floors. I wish we had been closer together as requested. But the hotel was pretty busy, so I get it. But, it would have been nice. And it was my dad's birthday, I wanted them to say "happy birthday" to him upon check-in, but that didn't happen either. No biggie. He had a wonderful experience nonetheless. And when you place the special requests, there is a disclaimer that says they'll try to accommodate, but can not make any promises. So, the expectation was there for me, because I knew I had made the requests, but my parents had no clue, so they were not disappointed one bit with the Embassy Louisville, Downtown!

It was okay
Disliked: For the price, we had to track down housecleaning as we ran out of towels and toilet paper and we had to empty our own trash. Our phone did not work. It was dead, so we couldn?t use it. Never once did house keeping come to our room. Disappointed in the size of our room. For the price.

Went to Louisville Palace
Liked: I liked everything about the room it was quiet even though we were on the street side no noise at all. Bathroom was extremely large. Close to 4th street live.
Disliked: The road was closed for repair in front of the palace which made it difficult to get our car from valet parking. It wasn't their fault we just sat and waited for 30 minutes or longer. It also cost 27.00 a day expensive room already over 200.00.

If there was another hotel...
Liked: The location
Disliked: The room was dirty.... multiple stains on the carpet in several locations. There was a lot toothpaste smeared on the bathroom wall by the mirror. As soon as I pulled the bed sheets back, there were multiple long dark hairs (definitely not mine) so the sheets had to be swapped out. For the Amount we paid, the room should have been cleaned. Also, last but not least... the pool was closed when it should have been opened. I am not a picky person and this is the first review that I have ever given. I have to travel to this area often because of a new job, needless to say I refuse to stay @ Embassy in the future.
