Embassy Suites By Hilton Louisville Downtown

$40 valet fee plus tip is a little steep but apparently worth it. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but we never felt unsafe. Our group was 4 women who were attending a comedy show. We had a great time and will return to this hotel for sure!

Liked: Large two room suite. Very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy peasy. Excellent breakfast, especially if you beat the crowd!
Disliked: The hospitality hour, 5:30-7p.m. was crowded and there was no food left and the line to get a drink was very long. We got there at about ten minutes after 6p.m. and never got a drink or snack. They were totally out of food and a lot of it was on the floor. The tables were crowded and dirty. We sat at a dirty table after clearing it ourselves. Never got food or drink so we left.

This is a must if you are visiting Louisville. Walk anywhere; fancy, new, but comfortable; a city feel without going too far away for a quick trip. Stopped at a distillery on way back too. Will do again.

Disliked: I had an early morning wake up call that the property was unable to disable, after multiple requests to stop the daily morning call we finally had to unplug the phones in our room. The staff was friendly and explained they were trying everything they could but couldn’t figure out why we kept getting the daily call.

Liked: Love, Love this place. Didn’t want to leave. My children loved it here. The room was huge. Everybody was so friendly. The pool was great. Booked last minute because issues with a different hotel and was so glad I did. Felt like luxury on a dime. Love that it had it own entrance to the CVS next to it. Hotel has a lot to offer. Will be staying here again when I come back to Kentucky. Best hotel I have stayed in by far. Valet was so nice and easy. Never had to wait long for my car. I really enjoyed that part(so did my kids). The young lady at the front desk was so nice, and personable I really wish I got her name. She was fairly new but helped me do nicely.
Disliked: The breakfast. It wasn’t good. After the first day my kids stopped getting up for it because they said they didn’t like it. Actually it was so bad that after we left their we went to a hotel in a Michigan and the refused to eat the breakfast their too,(which had really great breakfast) because they said they didn’t trust hotel breakfast anymore because this hotels breakfast was so bad. Eggs are like plastic. My son said even the bacon was bad.

A hidden gem in Louisville

Liked: Absolutely love the evening reception with two complimentary drinks and snacks. It's a great way to unwind after a day of buzzing around town. The breakfast is wonderful. Lots of options and the staff is always busy and pleasant. Great proximity to everything in Louisville. We travel alot and The Embassy Suites in Louisville is truly one of our very favorite places!
Disliked: The pool area is lacking size and a cozy feel. The elevators are terrible.
