Robert T, Gateshead, visiting Scala London
The bed was sooooooo squeaky I couldn't sleep for fear of waking up the next room, as every slight movement made this bed creak and squeak. Also, very small bathroom for the price. The room could have been more modern, but you pay for the close location to the train station and underground.
Liked: Location; front desk was friendly.
Disliked: The bed.

For a one night close...
Liked: The location had been excellent. The room had been extremely small and difficult tomove. The breakfast had been not adequate as per the items presented. The main point is the location and good for a night stay. Luggage keeping is payable.
Disliked: The smallness of the room, the inadequate breakfast items and payment for luggage storage.

Basic stay near St Pancras.
Liked: The room was small but had what we needed for a one night stay.
Disliked: It was pretty minimal, pretty basic. Wouldn't be comfortable for a longer stay.

Perfectly located for a short...
Liked: The hotel is a short walk from London Euston and an even shorter walk from London St Pancras International making it an ideal stop-over if taking the Eurostar. Additionally it is well placed for the London Underground as well as Thameslink trains giving you access to the whole of the Greater London region. The property is located in a quiet square with little traffic noise nor is it a pedestrian thoroughfare. There are several fast food outlets nearby and probably some more upmarket eateries too. All in all it provides a clean and convenient space to sleep whilst visiting the capital.
Disliked: An elevator would have been an added bonus especially if you are accommodated on the 4th floor and have luggage but due to the property being a converted Victorian house it would be impractical to install one so be prepared for a slow and arduous journey up ancient winding staircases.

Pleasant for an over night...
Liked: Not very clean/dated furniture+flooring etc, and the room was very small, however it was our decision to change room from the top floor with no lift to a ground floor as I had two pensioners with me who cannot manage too many stairs, the man at check in was very friendly and helpful, cannot fault him or the location for Kings Cross
Disliked: As above
