Elmwood Hotel

The bed was sooooooo squeaky I couldn't sleep for fear of waking up the next room, as every slight movement made this bed creak and squeak. Also, very small bathroom for the price. The room could have been more modern, but you pay for the close location to the train station and underground.

Liked: The unlocked window view was of an bricks of a small alley and buildings. I tried sticking things to prevent the window from opening. The room was like a dorm room. Very tiny. Small shower and the wrong toilet bowl covet in the little rectangle that made up the square room.
Disliked: Fix the room. New linens. Remove one bed. We had a twin and a double. .

Quiet but convenient location for...

Liked: The location is super close to kings cross station without feeling like its right in the middle of the business and the noise. Its an easy walk to the station which gives you access to all the train lines there in London for easy transportation. It is located on a quiet street with a park just across which makes it feel quiet and relaxing. The property itself was very affordable for a family of 6! Breakfast was an additional charge of $5 per day per person which we paid. It was simple but very filling and worth the convenience. The staff was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and was always on hand if something was needed. We would stay here again for our next trip to London.
Disliked: There was free wifi, but was very hit or miss in our basement room. It is also an older hotel, so I would say if you are looking for someplace that is more handicap accessible this would not work due to the narrowness and amt of stairs. It is no problem for someone abled bodied.
