Elmwood Hotel

The bed was sooooooo squeaky I couldn't sleep for fear of waking up the next room, as every slight movement made this bed creak and squeak. Also, very small bathroom for the price. The room could have been more modern, but you pay for the close location to the train station and underground.

A good stopover for our...

Liked: The staff were very helpful and it was very easy to check in etc. I was able to check in early and leave my bag.The room was clean and adequate though I would say in need of an upgrade of furnishings and bedding.
Disliked: Newer bedding

Location and breakfast was lovely

Disliked: Room very small for a double and bed old and needs to be replaced as the mattress sagged.

Very good

Liked: Location was second to none. Easy walk to Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. During the stay you actually leave your key at the 24/7 desk. Never have to worry about losing your key.
Disliked: It is a low budget no frills so the room furniture is worn. My only issue is the showerhead was malfunctioning so you had to hold it versus leaving on the stand.
