Modern, eco-conscious, and right in the heart of downtown Detroit, Element Detroit at the Metropolitan is a sleek 3-star hotel that blends historic architecture with contemporary design. Set just under a mile from TCF Center and close to legendary venues like the Fillmore, Saint Andrews Hall, and the Masonic Temple Theater, it's a perfect place to crash after your favorite act leaves the stage.
Rooms are bright, airy, and equipped with free WiFi, air conditioning, and private bathrooms. Bonus points for the on-site restaurant, rooftop terrace, and even complimentary bikes to explore the city before the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

With many of Detroit’s top music venues within walking distance, you won’t need to worry about post-show Ubers or parking headaches. The hotel offers private parking if you're driving, and the reception staff is happy to help you navigate the area. Rooms are well-insulated for a quiet night's rest after a loud encore, and the stylish but chill vibe makes it easy to wind down. Check-in starts at 4:00 PM, and you'll have until 11:00 AM to head out the next day—ideal for sleeping in after a late night.

  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want a stylish stay

Food and Drink Options

What People Say

Guests love the modern rooms, cleanliness, and central location. Reviewers often mention how easy it is to get to nearby venues on foot. The friendly staff and cool rooftop views also get shoutouts, making it a favorite for weekend concert trips.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that parking can be a bit pricey, and the historic building means a slightly smaller lobby area. A few noted that it would be nice to have more late-night food options on-site, but the neighborhood makes up for it.

Location is good, kitchen dishes...

Disliked: Breakfast was so-so, and we got a food poisoning on our second day. Staff is not responsive to the requests or complains. Tap water, even though it was said filtered, looked suspicious - it is safer not to drink it. On top of that, we found a suspicious bug right on the bed on our latest day.

Goid

Liked: The staff, and ai mean all the staff, was super friendly and helpful. ..
Disliked: The shower and the conditioning shampoo. You need shampoo AND conditioner. My hair, after using your product, looked like crap. The water from the shower spilled all the way out to the bathroom doorway. I slipped but did not fall. Not good!!
