Good

Liked: Location is good as it was near to ferry and beds were comfortable. Room was very clean. Car parking is available.
Disliked: Room too small for two queen size beds. Disliked that we had no personal contact with management.

I mostly enjoyed my stay...

Liked: I like the patios, the extra towels that you could access that had a coffee maker, of refrigerator and a microwave. Bed was comfortable. It’s close to great restaurants and the ferry.
Disliked: The room smelled extremely strong, smell of cleaning supplies, and it wouldn’t go away. The carpet was filthy It seems like it needs to be replaced. There was no heater. Just an electric small heater. I would’ve preferred to have someone on property such as a manager at least some of the time I didn’t see anybody but cleaning staff.

El Rancho is a great...

Liked: Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Great area outside to eat and enjoy a drink. Management quickly responded to a problem in our room and it was quickly resolved. We stay here often and will continue to do so.
Disliked: Nothing.

Superb

Liked: We love the quaintness of the property and location!! Close to the beach and shopping!
Disliked: There is some damage in the room. A previous guest may have had a dog. The blind above the left bed has chew marks on it. Also, the light above the right bed is not properly secured. It looks like it could fall off the wall.

Liked: Clean, cozy rooms with great outdoor space.

It was a busy weekend...

Liked: Patio space allowed us to get outside the room and to relax comfortably. Fortunately, the weather was good. Cleaning staff tried to help, and brought us additional hangers and eventually replaced the non-working coffee maker. It was quiet in our room despite the property being located on a busy street.
Disliked: Room was cramped. It appeared to have been remodeled by a do-it-yourselfer--wall was patched, tile and flooring didn't line up; mirror was broken. There was no staff on the property and our texts were not answered. There seemed to be a problem with the electrical. One light would randomly stop working; sometimes the exhaust fan in the bathroom worked; sometimes it didn't.
