Econo Lodge Airport near Billy Graham Parkway

Nice place if you're in town for the weekend. Had a mini fridge and microwave so food in room is possible. Close to downtown, quick cab service. I was in for a concert and it was perfect.

Liked: Close to downtown.
Disliked: Noise from interstate.

Liked: I didn't like absolutely nothing about this hotel. My first clue was when they required $50 CASH ROOM DAMAGE DEPOSIT. Advertised Charlotte Airport area.....NOT!! The surroundings, the grounds were awful and I felt unsafe! The sofa had stains, bed was poorly made. Even the fitted sheets weren't fitted on the bed! Had to attend a family event, got back at 11:00 and water was on the floor from the sink to the bed and from the side of the bed which look like it was coming through the wall from next door. I got pictures!! Called front desk. He came with towels but not enough towels to soak up water. Asked.for another room because no way was I going.to stay ANYWHERE that I paid for under those conditions. Well surprise..no rooms available. I had to reserve a room at another hotel for $138. So total for one night stay I paid $218!!! Got to New hotel at 12:30 a.m. and checked out at 11:00 a.m. MY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This place needs to be shut down or not allowed to advertise on a platform as reputable as booking.com DO NOT....DO NOT stay at this place. By the way. I did get my $50 back.
Disliked: Grounds and location not near Charl Airport. Unsafe surroundings. Required $50 CASH ROOM DAMAGE DEPOSIT...wouldn't put on my card. No closet or anywhere to hang your clothes. Bed was very poorly made, sofa was stained. I purchased new sheets and towels. I used hotel's towels to put on stained sofa. Worst of all, under sink leakage was so bad, that water had reached the bed. Alongside of bed water was coming the wall. It was awful!! I would never recommend this place. I am extremely disappointed that Booking.com allow them to use their platform. After the fact, I dug deeper into reviews and see this not first time that issues had been reported. I'm thinking about going back to Expedia for my online bookings.
