Superb

Liked: Wonderful location. Very close to tram and the beautiful park. Good breakfast at a reasonable price. Comfortable rooms!
Disliked: Comfortable rooms but very small. Limited space for suitcases, and for hanging/unpacking clothes. Only 2 hangers provided but we did get 4 more after we asked for them!

We really loved everything about...

Liked: The bed was very comfortable, that's the most important. It was bright and clean and in a quiet pleasant neighborhood. We switched hotels after 3 nights to be closer to other things and now wish we were back at Dutch Design for the next 4 nights.It was also nice to have the coffee and tea etc always available.
Disliked: The only thing that would have made our stay easier would be more hooks on the wall and another shelf in the bathroom. There is never enough hooks/space to put things when you travel.

Liked: The location and the hotel staff were wonderful.
Disliked: The bathroom door was very heavy, hard to handle, not possible to leave it open.There was no wardrobe in the room, no place to put clothes.

Liked: My room was at the back of the property and quietIt was an easy walk to a tram stop into Amsterdam, max 10 minutes wait
Disliked: No storage in the bedroom or the bathroom. 6 hooks on bedroom wall, no wardrobe. How do you hang a pair of trousers or a Tshirt on a hook? Open shelving on bedroom wall, one shelf taken up with a safe. 2 shelves in place of bedside tables. Nowhere in bathroom to store toiletries except on the side of the wash hand basin. Thus all my personal possessions on view in both rooms. Bed comfy but approx 20cm above the height of a conventional bed. Double room but only enough space for one small suitcase. Nowhere to sit - I had to sit in reception to read a book - in a chair previously occupied by a cat - disgusting. In short, too much time devoted to appearance and none to practicalities or customer's needs. Disappointing. I would rate it 4 out of 10
