Second time at this establishment,...

Liked: Exceptional breakfast, prompt service with a smile on a hot plate. Location was ideal as we were visiting friends in Peterlee. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, staff went above and beyond to please
Disliked: Booked twin room on check in room was made up as double, i5 was late so we re- arranged room ourselves but more attention to our original booking details would have been appreciated.

Great stay to visit relatives

Liked: Rooms are not modern but fit in with the general ambience of the building with its original stonework and beams. Modernisation would spoil this oldy world charm.Breakfast which was included has continental with full English available also. If eating in the bar of restaurant on an evening bring your appetite. Great menu choices and very large portions at a reasonable price.I have to commend one gentleman who may actually br the owner. As I took ill on the first night and he went out of his way to ensure I was okay which thankfully I was by next morning.
Disliked: Nothing

Morning staff not up to...

Liked: Evening meal and staff were great, helpful staff only pleased to help
Disliked: Bed was too hard for me , the breakfast was disorganised, they mixed up my meal with my friends and then served both meals, even though my friend was not down stairs !! Plus staff were smoking outside and the smoke drifted to where we were not good

Quick visit for funeral

Liked: Food was very good. Bed linen was good and clean. Bathroom was spacious. Tea and coffee facilities were good. Location was excellent and exceeded expectations
Disliked: Room decor looked very tired. Bed was creaky and probably needed replacing. The bathroom door was glazed and meant that light spilled into the room early in the morning.

Sedgefield is well placed for access and a visit to Hardwick Park and Wynyard Park Gardens highly recommended . The staff were excellent and very helpful, especially Richard
