Liked: A nice traditional hotel with spacious rooms, bar and restaurant. Of the 5 places we stayed in Scotland this one was very good value for money. Ideal location for a stop over.
Disliked: everything was fine.

Not recommended

Liked: Terrible breakfast. The taste, the way it was served all below standard.
Disliked: Hotel maintenance is lacking.Neglected. Breakfast was not nice. Picture of Hotel on booking is misleading

Nice hotel, en route

Liked: Nice hotel, close to highway, yet quiet. We had a good breakfast and a proper dinner at the place. Rooms are fairly spacious and the requested twin beds available. Free Parking behind the hotel.
Disliked: shower in the bathtub is not our favourite.

Perfect

Liked: Just a lovely hotel in a great location. Rooom was lovely with 2 big windows. Great shower. Comfy bed. Can’t fault it really (other than the creaky floors but that’s part of staying in an old building).
Disliked: Nothing really

olde worldview charm

Liked: loved the older worldie charm been 30 years since I was last here - comfy bed room 566 - lovely big walk in shower - all we needed - nice friendly bar atmosphere & good selection - staff really helpful and friendly - no worries parking -
Disliked: beautiful dining room BUT unless you were with the bus party you didn't get to eat in it you were put in the back area where the buffet breakfast was laid out - although you had what you needed the difference in the two areas was night and day such a shame it was like the gentry area and the staff area
