Liked: Very Clean. Pets allowed. Comfortable bed. Jolly Roger's restaurant is a couple of doors down. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Small room. Cold AC, but it leaked water inside and covers falling off leaving an opening where rodents could get in. Parking lot is too tight.

Adequate stay close to beach

Liked: We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment. It was adequate for our family for a short stay. Inside living space and kitchen is very small but usable. Beds were ok. Very short walk to the beach (access trail basically across the street). Google Maps will take you to Target, not the motel, so make sure you look at the actual map to get there. Close to Wright Brothers Memorial and lots of shops and restaurants if that's your thing.
Disliked: Bed duvets and pillow shams look a little dingy; could use an update. Neighbors were loud and there were bright lights outside windows. Oven handle looked about ready to fall off, but the stove and refrigerator worked fine. We had no problem, but I imagine parking is tight when it's busier. If the doors to bedrooms are shut, it will get pretty warm in there since the A/C really only cools the main room. The one bedroom door wouldn't stay open without something propping it. No place to walk pets around really other than the beach (which was fine for us).

Liked: Very nice everything worked and very clean. Very easy to check in.
Disliked: I guess the water pressure in the shower could have been better? But I think obx is notorious for that.
