Unexpected and awesome!

Liked: The room was small, but EXTREMELY clean! I don’t think I have ever stayed in a cleaner room! The tiles in the bathroom were gleaming. Even though it is a small hotel you had all the bathroom amenities, coffee and tea bin your room and two petite Poland Spring water bottles!Staff was extremely nice too!
Disliked: It was very small. At first you would wonder about the hotel.

Lost my companion's bag and...

Liked: Took responsibility and offered to pay for the contents of the bag they wrongly gave to another person. Location is the only good part about this hotel.
Disliked: Arrived at 2:15, check in is at 3, I was hoping to check in a little early. I was told no - Ok, that's their right. But then the staff at the desk told me not to expect to be able to check-in at 3pm either since they had a "lot of late check outs." I asked for a time, they couldn't give me one. I then asked If I would be paying less since they were providing less and I was told "that's not how it works." I had to change my plans and left my bag at the front desk for them to hold until I checked in later.I came back in and checked in several hours later without issue, great. The person I was staying with also checked their bag in at the front desk, and when they arrived back at the hotel, they came to find out their bag was missing. The hotel apparently gave their bag to someone else (despite having a numbered tag system that was apparently ignored by the staff). As a result, they were without their belongings the entire trip. Eventually after speaking to the manager they offered to compensate them for the bag and the contents if they couldn't get it back, but it's crazy to me that you can check your bag into a hotel and have them give it to someone else, even with a numbered tag system. There's no excuse for that.On top of that, when I first tried to check in they said I could use the bathroom, which I did - there were people's bags in the bathroom! I get it, there were a ton of bags, but putting them in the bathroom (where me or anyone else could have gone through them) is crazy, their bag checking system obviously needs a complete revamp if they are doing stuff like this and losing people's bags. Now, let's move on to the room. I knew I wasn't paying for the Ritz Carlton here, but was was expecting a couple more things. For one, I was expecting the toilet seat to have a top cover so that when you flush you aren't getting germs everywhere in the bathroom.
