Liked: Good location. Nice balcony. Room Fan essential on hot days.
Disliked: Small room with large protruding bed frame. Very soft mattress, sheet didn't fit under mattress. Awkward parking at rear. Noisy jacuzzi.

Disliked: Too small room for 2 people, no wardrobe, not very nice reception service, antique bathroom with non-functioning devices, dirty carpets, and attention! night silence before 22:00pm In addition to this, not tasty breakfasts and no cocktails offered in the advertisement

Dirty and dated at Seagull...

Liked: We booked the Dovedale Hotel but were placed across the road in a house called Seagull Cottage. It was a good location geographically to enjoy the Armed Forces Weekend
Disliked: Seagull Cottage was disappointing. It has massive potential as a lovely property but we found it extremely dated, with lots of old ornaments scattered around. The furniture in the lounge is very tired. It was generally dirty. Beds and bathrooms were just ok, but the carpets, lounge and kitchen were filthy. The kitchen is old fashioned and poorly kitted out with a random mix of stuff. For example, for a place that accommodates 8 people, there were 3 mugs

Liked: Our second visit to dovedale this year, staff, very friendly, helpful, go above + beyond to make sure we have a lovely stay, rooms are very clean + comfortable, breakfast is good too, will be booking to go back in a couple of months again

Nice little hotel ideal for...

Liked: The large tv and Sky tv. Free tea and coffee. Decent bar. Choice of breakfast menu. Plenty of seating areas downstairs.
Disliked: No suitcase stand. No bedside drawers to put anything in. No tissues. Pillows too thick and uncomfortable. No toiletries just gel stuck on the wall.
