The Spotlight on DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Midtown

Comfort and Convenience Just Minutes from the Music

Modern and welcoming, the DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Midtown offers a polished stay just 3.6 miles from downtown Raleigh. With easy access to major concert venues and a peaceful location slightly outside the city bustle, this 4-star hotel blends comfort with convenience. Guests enjoy free parking, a seasonal outdoor pool, and a warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in – a DoubleTree signature.

Why Concert-goers love it

Concert fans appreciate how close this hotel is to Raleigh’s main music spots while still offering a quiet place to recharge after the show. With flexible check-in at 3:00 PM and a smooth check-out by 11:00 AM, it works well for late-night arrivals or slow mornings. Free WiFi, multilingual staff, and quick access to rideshares make getting to and from venues easy – no need to worry about parking downtown.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a base to explore Raleigh’s music scene
  • Solo travelers catching a big-name act or festival
  • Couples planning a weekend of tunes and time together
  • Fans who value peace and quiet after the encore
  • Budget-conscious travelers who want value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

The hotel’s on-site restaurant and bar keep things convenient, with both à la carte and buffet breakfast options available – perfect for those mornings after a late show. There’s also a vending machine with drinks and snacks for quick bites anytime, and local eateries are just a short drive or rideshare away. While there’s no 24/7 room service, the staff can help point you to late-night options nearby.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself isn’t a nightlife hotspot, it’s just a quick trip to Raleigh’s buzzing bar and club scene downtown. For a more relaxed vibe, guests can unwind at the on-site bar or hang out in the shared lounge area. Whether you’re pregaming before the show or winding down after, you’re never far from the action.

What People Say

Guests highlight the clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff who go above and beyond. Many reviews note the free parking as a major plus, especially for those driving in for a concert. Travelers also appreciate the hotel’s easy access to downtown without the downtown price tag.

Areas for Improvement

This hotel isn’t in the thick of the nightlife or concert scene, so you’ll likely need a car or rideshare to get to venues. Also, while food options are available, late-night dining could be a bit more robust – a few guests hoped for more variety or 24-hour options.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers looking for a comfortable, convenient, and quiet place to stay near Raleigh’s music venues, DoubleTree by Hilton Raleigh Midtown is a smart and stress-free choice.

Will not stay here again.

Liked: Location was nice & convenient.
Disliked: Arrive to my room with it already being open, we assumed housekeeping forgot to close the latch after cleaning it. Dirty bath tub that clogged due to slow drainage causing pile up of dirt floating throughout the water. Maintenance came the next day to plunge and left everything he had plunged up, in the tub. It was the lack of regard that ruined it. Came in from a day out with family to be met with vomit in the middle of the floor, no wet floor sign, no staff making sure no one walked in it. Walked to the elevator to see signs stating that they were not working. Our room was on the 6th floor and the stairs were not in a visible area leaving guests wandering to find the stairs.

Disliked: Not Safe – Major Security ConcernsWe recently stayed here while traveling to Florida and unfortunately did not feel safe during our visit. There were signs posted stating:“PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK. REMOVE ALL VALUABLES FROM VEHICLE. OWNER AND MANAGEMENT HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE.”Another guest told us that previous visitors had experienced break-ins and theft from their vehicles, and some were still dealing with the consequences. What made things worse was that there were no security cameras anywhere on the property — not outside the building, inside the hallways, or even in the pool area.We had our travel belongings in our car, and my husband felt so uneasy about the lack of security that he seriously considered sleeping in the vehicle overnight to protect our things. This was an extremely stressful experience. If you’re traveling with valuables or simply want peace of mind, I do not recommend staying here. The staff is very nice!!
