Disappointing
Liked: No resort fee so far.
Disliked: We were woken up by the cleaning ladies alarm going off I don't know what the alarm was for but it could be heard throughout the hallway on our floor and she didn't turn it off for about 20 minutes this was at about 6:30 a.m. she then proceeded to yell over the vacuum on a speakerphone call that lasted for a long while in Spanish and which could be heard through our window and in the hallway. I got the feeling that this was all done intentionally so that we would get up and leave and this worker could go home early. I've encountered this quite a bit lately in hotels throughout the city but this was the one that took the cake. It was effective in that we couldn't sleep from about 6:30 until 10:30 at which point we gave up on sleeping and I called down and asked for a late checkout and the guy told me 12:00 when I told him that we've been awake and couldn't sleep because of his cleaning person on our floor, he told me 12:30 and acted as though I should be grateful that he gave me that. The rooms were kind of drab and small the hotel seems like it's been shut down for a while I think there are two people working. All in all it was pretty lousy. I will say however that they didn't charge the resort fee or at least I haven't seen it show up yet in my bank statement. This is on 36th Street. It's kind of shady around this area. There are a lot of cheap hotels that seem to attract the drug crowd and all of the associated sorts of personalities all of whom seem to feel that anyone emerging from one of the hotels is obligated to hand over anything they might have in their pockets be that chump change cigarettes meal money bus money Hotel money or in my case my entire bag, which a fine gentleman attempted to and a friendly manner take from me in the 7-Eleven around the corner pretending to admire it so much that he wanted to hold it while his buddy held the door for him. I politely declined. There is apparently a police station nearby.
