What People Say

Guests love the stunning views, especially from rooms facing the water. Reviewers often mention the friendly staff, modern amenities, and the peaceful setting as standout features. The free parking and easy access to the city via rail station are also frequently praised by concert-goers.

Areas for Improvement

While it’s not smack in the middle of Edinburgh, the slight commute is worth it if you value quiet nights and picturesque surroundings. A few guests noted that dining options nearby are limited after hours, so it’s best to plan ahead if you're returning late.

The Bottom Line

Provided us with a base...

Liked: A fine hotel with kind and helpful staff. Rooms were very well equipped and maintained. Views of the Firth of Forth were grand. The restaurant was was first class with a decent selection of well cooked food.
Disliked: Charging £200 per night, providing the smallest toilet paper I have ever seen seems an unnecessary economy. I was also painfully thin. The combination made personal hygiene difficult. The hotel would benefit from a battery operated transfer vehicle to and from the local station. Taxi provision is limited and to walk from North Queensferry station with luggage entails many very steep stairs. Very difficult for old/inform tourists.

Superb

Liked: Room was comfortable. Staff at Reception were friendly.
Disliked: Cost, we were staying for a wedding. Mother and Grandma of the Bride. Even with a discount, it was unreasonable. Have spoken with the hotel regarding this and the bad service from central reservations.
