An average near Chester, nothing...

Liked: Location was good and facilities like, pool, spa dining and bar were good without being anything more than average.
Disliked: The largely, young staff were impersonal and a little cold in some cases. Disappointing. Additionally the fire alarm went off both mornings of our stay. No explanation given.

Attention to details missing

Liked: Location, beds comfy
Disliked: Mould in shower floor corner, shampoo had not been refilled so had to use shower gel, sink had some mould round the upper inside, the alarm had been left preset so had an unexpected 6.00am wake up, one lamp didn’t work in room near tv, blue chair had chunk missing out of material and you could see the foam underneath, dinner was ok but expensive steak just past the “medium” request,Breakfast was not good buffet style but at 8.30am bacon was hard from being under heat lamps, fried eggs as a result were all hard, the scrambled eggs somehow were semi cold (uneven heat distribution ) then salt and pepper had not been refilled from evening meal time so tried taking some from another table only to have same issue as did other guests then to top it all off the fire alarm went off around 11.15am and other guests told us it was ok to go back false alarm, I had to get member of staffs attention and ask if it was safe they said yes it was a fault with the alarm.So all in all they could do much better as a“Spa” resort which I would expect to score 5/5 especially on little details as is I would say 3.8 / 5I wouldn’t return. Oh a bottle of white rose white zinfedel rose wine should not cost £33 for aBottle far too expensive

Excelent except for being kept...

Liked: rooms were very good, staff were excellent and great breakfast.
Disliked: Was kept awake until 2am on second night with noise from room above. Contacted reception who were very apologetic, took two visits from them before noise ceased.

Liked: Nice location, well kept, great facilities
Disliked: We came away on our first child free getaway in quite a long time, we booked this stay because we wanted to ultimately unwind and relax, I called the reception the previous day to confirm checkout was 12pm which it was, because we was really looking forward to a lie-in, at 7:45am we was awoken by a horrendous fire alarm going off right above our bed, we have never been woken up in a panic so much in our lives it was incredibly loud, the fire alarm did not stop and kept ringing out, so we got up frantically and got dressed and came down to reception to ask where the fire was. The receptionist just said ‘oh just a false alarm you can carry on’ with zero apologies zero compassion we just felt like we had been dragged out of bed and the whole purpose of the stay was to feel relaxed and on this occasion we did not, The hotel itself and facilities were to a high standard and we loved being there but we did not get what we came for, whole purpose of booking the Hilton was to get our relaxing time in the morning, which was abit of a let down for us.

Comfortable and affordable

Liked: It’s not far from the town as we had a restaurant reservation so it was accessible to that. We have stayed here a couple of times and we love the spa facilities and the rooms are always up to the best standard. The staff are always helpful and the 24 hour room service is convenient if you don’t have any plans for dinner.
Disliked: There isn’t really anything I don’t like about it as I have stayed here a couple of times this year.
