Put porridge on the menu...

Liked: I'd not been on the island for 22 years and this hotel was the added ...bonus of feeling nicely old-fashioned, I do like old-fashioned things. I found the bed comfortable.
Disliked: I've read twenty (TWENTY) pages of the booking . com reviews for this place and I didn't see in any of them that this establishment has a particular rule - no take-away meals in rooms, I think (that) if that can somehow be put in the description that it should be. Room contained the smallest hotel TV I've ever encountered and it wasn't fully working well, if it was on for more than 5 minutes you couldn't change channel with the remote ...I already can't 100% remember if the TV had buttons on the side ...long story short it was a pretty basic TV. No porridge at breakfast (by that I mean it is NOT on the menu) and ketchup sachets (for such a traditional establishment I was expecting a bottle ...maybe even one of those containers that looks like a tomato). Lastly at check-out time (11am) there was no one on the desk, okay I didn't hang around waiting for someone but ...well being as honest as I always am that felt a bit odd.

Superb

Liked: The breakfast was so tasty the atmosphere was warm and welcoming- the room was comfy with a sea view which in any other hotel would have cost you more - price wise brilliant
Disliked: The toilet seat was a bit old

Really nice ! Wish I...

Liked: I came to stay overnight for work . The location is really lovely quiet , you can see the sea side and the staff are very helpful . I’m already thinking of returning to spend some more days ! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a place to have some peace and relatively close to just about everything you need.
Disliked: Loved everything

A nice place to stay

Liked: Very comfortable bed. Easy to use separate bathroom. Good location. Good price.
Disliked: Maybe less air-freshener in the room upon arrival, but that is it!

Nice hotel, good location, helpful...

Liked: The hotel was in a good location close to the centre of town. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was quite good choice of cereals and full English. The hotel was value for money.
